Stream Cycle | US Open

The crew is back at it again, this time in Surf City, Huntington Beach! We livestreamed the US Open of Surfing live from the sands of Huntington Beach with the help of our mobile command center. We built the first of its kind: a multi-cam bonded internet mobile streaming cargo bike. If that sounds like a mouth-full, that’s because it is! We took a Yuba Mundo cargo bike with a 550lbs load capacity and fit a Blackmagic 6kPro and a GoPro Hero 7 Black on a Sachtler tripod head to the front basket for the wide + tight angle shots. For the back, we set up a Sony FDR x 3000 action camera. The command center had an ATEM Mini running into an Atomos 7 inch Shogun monitor where the feed was locally recorded. From there it was fed into our DIY bonded internet setup which sent a clean 1080p/30 feed directly to Instagram and Twitch. This DIY setup allowed a mobile streaming headquarters where no one can shut us down!
